Dr. Wuyek is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in the treatment of anxiety disorders and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD).  She uses treatment strategies that have been validated by research (empirically supported treatments).  Dr. Wuyek specializes in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), particularly exposure and response prevention.  For more than a decade, her practice, teaching, and research have focused on anxiety and related disorders.  Dr. Wuyek has trained and worked at several high-profile institutions, including the Menninger Clinic OCD Treatment Program and Johns Hopkins Anxiety and OCD Clinics.  She has provided intensive inpatient CBT and exposure and response prevention for treatment refractory OCD and other anxiety disorders, as well as intensive outpatient and standard outpatient treatment.  For the last four years, Dr. Wuyek co-directed the Anxiety and OCD Clinics at Johns Hopkins, providing patient care, working on research, and teaching psychiatry residents and medical students about anxiety disorders.  She also directed the Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy Training for psychiatry residents at Johns Hopkins.  She has recently opened a private practice in the Baltimore area to focus more fully on providing treatment.
